FREQUENTLY ASKED
Pricing & process questions
Why three tiers?
The further back your Canadian ancestor, the more archival work it takes to prove the lineage. A direct parent requires one birth record. A great-grandparent may require three-plus generations of records from multiple provinces, parish archives, and translations from old French.
What does the $490 deposit cover?
The deposit secures your case, kicks off the record search, and pays for the document retrieval phase. The balance is only due when we successfully assemble your complete citizenship application. If we can't locate your records within our search window, you get the deposit back.
What's the 7-day money-back guarantee?
Within 7 days of paying your deposit, you can cancel for a full refund β no questions, no fine print. We do this because we want you confident in the decision, not pressured into it.
Are there any other costs I should know about?
The Canadian government charges its own application fee (currently $75 CAD). If you decide to apply for a Canadian passport after citizenship is granted, that's a separate ~$160 CAD fee. Both are paid directly to the Canadian government, not to us. Everything else is included.
Do you offer family discounts?
Yes. When multiple family members in the same direct lineage apply together, the second and subsequent applicants get reduced pricing because much of the record work is shared. Start with the free eligibility check and we'll quote your specific family scenario.
How long does the full process take?
The record search and application assembly typically takes 4-12 weeks depending on tier and lineage complexity. Once submitted, IRCC's processing time is currently 6-12 months under Bill C-3. So expect 7-15 months from deposit to citizenship confirmation.
What if my case is rejected?
If we successfully assemble the application but IRCC rejects on grounds we didn't anticipate, we'll appeal at no additional cost. If we can't build a defensible application from the records we find, we refund the deposit and you owe nothing further.
Why is this so much cheaper than Italian citizenship services?
Italian citizenship by descent services typically charge $8,000-$25,000 because Italian bureaucracy requires court hearings, consulate appointments, and certified Italian translations of every document. Canadian records are better preserved, fully digitized in most cases, and the application is administrative β not judicial. The work is genuinely simpler, so the pricing reflects that.
